With the increasing popularity of 28mm plastics it was only time before one of the big manufacturers caught on to what was happening and devoted some energy to the field. Few miniatures companies come bigger that Hat Industrie!
HaT have been a player in the soft plastics market for many years now, in short having seen the popularity of 28mm Hard Plastic, they have re-tooled and up-scaled existing sets. This will give them a huge range of figures to release, depending, we guess on the popularity of the figures. They are certainly proposing a wide range of El Cid and Napoleonic figures to be followed later by Seven Years Wars sets.
The problem HaT will be facing is that their figures often do NOT have the detail that you can expect to find on compeditors products, where HaT will compete is on price and the speed at which they can bring a wide variety of figures to the market, people wanting to build armies quickly will grab them.
